Iglesias and Salazar picked up wins over seventh-seeded Luiz Rino and Ricardo Shinozaki of Liberty (8-5) and Santiago Falla and Zalan Kiss of Charleston Southern (8-6) to reach the quarterfinals. The duo's match is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m., where they will take on the winner of Wake Forest versus Florida State.
"Diego and Alejandro played with a lot of fire, and their second match was their best match of the fall," said ETSU head coach Dave Mullins. "Hopefully we can build on this and have a good rest of the tournament."
Also, Salazar will open Friday's play with a main draw singles match. Salazar is scheduled to face top-seeded Roger Anderson of Georgia Tech at 8:00 a.m. Anderson won the singles tournament last year and advanced to the ITA National Intercollegiate Championships in Farmers Branch, Texas.
