ETSU athletes to compete in Fatal Vision Goggle Olympics

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 20, 2003) - In conjunction with the East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' Alcohol Awareness Task Force, Buccaneer student-athletes will be competing in the Fatal Vision Goggle Olympics on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. next to the Amphitheater behind the D.P. Culp Center. The Alcohol Awareness Task Force, which is sponsored by Clyce Distributing Company of Johnson City, is dedicated to increasing awareness among students about the dangers of underage drinking, binge drinking and drunken driving. The week of Oct. 19-26 is Alcohol Awareness Week on campus, and ETSU's student-athletes will be doing their part to pass on the message of the dangers of alcohol abuse.
