MACON, Ga. (April 11, 2006) - The Lady Bucs tennis team will vie for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, this week at the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center on the campus of Mercer University.

The 2006 A-Sun Tournament will mark the first postseason appearance for ETSU as members of the Atlantic Sun. The top-seeded Lady Bucs have a bye in the first round and will face the winner of #8 Gardner-Webb/ #9 Lipscomb on Thursday, April 13 at 11:30 a.m.

ETSU has already faced both teams earlier in the year defeating Gardner-Webb, 7-0 on March 24 and Lipscomb, 7-0 on March 18. Should the Lady Bucs advance to the semi-finals they will take on either # 4Mercer or #5 Jacksonville. ETSU defeated Mercer, 7-0 on March 23 and not faced Jacksonville this season.

The Lady Bucs (20-4, 6-0), enter the tournament undefeated in regular season conference play. ETSU has dominated the six teams they have faced, sweeping all of them, 7-0.

The championship match is set for Saturday, April 15 at 2 p.m.
