DAVIDSON,
Buhr paced the Lady Bucs with 41 kills in three matches on the weekend, averaging 4.10 kills per game, along with 2.10 digs per game. The junior also swung a team-best .384 on the tournament, committing only eight errors in 86 attempts.
Emerson handled the setting duties on the weekend, averaging 11.40 assists per game, including a 54-assist performance in ETSU's 3-1 victory over Davidson. Also a contributor on defense, Emerson added 1.70 digs per game, the second-best tally on the team.
Both Buhr and Emerson have been impressive all season for the Lady Bucs, as Buhr leads the squad in total kills (95), kills per game (3.28), and digs per game (2.34). Emerson has stepped up as ETSU's top setter, averaging 10.07 assists per game, a team-high. Emerson is also ranked second on the team in digs per frame with 2.24.
ETSU sits at 5-2 on the season after winning a pair of matches on the weekend, upending Davidson, 3-1, and Howard, 3-0. The Lady Bucs also dropped a 3-0 to Duquesne on Saturday.
Next on the schedule for the Lady Bucs is a home contest against Furman on Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Brooks Gym. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
