JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (October 1, 2005)- The ETSU women's soccer team got its second win in a row on Saturday against Stetson University, 2-1, at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex. Senior Erin Ashton (
"Stetson played a good game and they made us battle for it," said head women's soccer coach Heather Henson. "We need to keep working and push forward from here. This was a great weekend of soccer for us and it feels great to be sitting 2-2 in the A-Sun now."
With both teams scoreless entering the second period, Ashton found senior Lauren Kulish (Bowie, Md.) off a corner kick at the 56:29 mark to give the Buccaneers the advantage.
Stetson's Jessica Spencer found the back of the net at the 68:55 mark to knot the score at one a piece. ETSU answered back less than two minutes later when Ashton, off a corner kick, scored the game winning goal for the Buccaneers.
