Nolan, who played at ETSU in the mid '90s, was a three-time All-American for the Bucs and earned his PGA Tour card immediately upon leaving ETSU. He played two seasons on the Tour and has continued to play professionally. He posted a score of 5-under 427 for the four-round event and missed the cut for earning a PGA Tour card by just three strokes. Meanwhile, Riddering, who finished his time at ETSU in 2003, reached a qualifying score for the first time thanks to his even-par 432 effort.
Nolan and Riddering will join former ETSU standout Garrett Willis on the Nationwide Tour. Willis, who withdrew from the qualifying tournament, earned exemption status on the Nationwide Tour thanks to his PGA Tour victory in the 2001 Touchstone Energy Tucson Open. Willis won in his first ever PGA Tour event.
Nolan, Riddering and Willis are just the latest in a long tradition of ETSU men's golfers that have succeeded at the professional level. Those players include Mike Hulbert, Bobby Wadkins, Eric Axley, Larry Hinson, Bobby Gage, Tai Teshima and Rex Kuramoto
