GREENEVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 7, 2006) - Sophomore Lucy Gould (Bargoed, Wales) fired a team-best 76 Saturday afternoon, helping to keep the ETSU women's golf team in contention following second round play in the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course.

The Bucs find themselves tied for fourth on the team leaderboard heading into Sunday's third and final round. ETSU is currently 13 strokes off the pace set by Big Ten Conference participant Northwestern. The Wildcats lead Florida International by 10 strokes and third place Augusta State by 12.

Individually, Gould is tied for ninth and has been the top performer so far for ETSU. Meanwhile, Northwestern's Alice Kim is trying to make it a sweep of both leaderboards, as she holds a four-stroke lead over second place Araceli Felgueroso of Coastal Carolina.

Other ETSU results include freshman Sinead O'Sullivan (Galway, Ireland) tied for 12th, while fellow freshmen Sarah Jane Sinard (White Pine) and Laura Jansone (Jurmala, Latvia) are tied for 33rd and 36th, respectively.

Final round play is scheduled for Sunday, and ETSU fans can stay up to date on the Bucs' play by visiting ETSUBucs.com at the completion of each round.
