FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 13, 2007) -The ETSU volleyball team did something that no other team has done all year, which is win a game at Florida Gulf Coast, but it wasn't enough as the Bucs fell to FGCU in four games Saturday at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Fla., 12-30, 20-30, 34-32, 16-30.

"Tonight the team wasn't focused to play," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "I believe this team has the ability to play at the level that is expected, but unfortunately we couldn't tonight."

Senior Callie Kiselich (Colorado Springs, Colo.), led the Bucs offensively as she had 15 kills in the game. Freshman Desiree Dyck (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), collected 13 kills and eight digs in the match. Senior Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii), had another good defensive game as she collected 30 digs for the second straight game, as she has had 30 plus digs in four of the last five games.

Marissa Mortensen (Elk Grove, Ill.), and Whitney Cogburn (Kingsport, Tenn.), shared the setting duties as Mortensen had 21 assists, while Cogburn had 22 assists. Lauren Baufield (Plymouth, Minn.), had nine digs for the Bucs.

"We are going to learn from this game and be prepared for our next opportunity," Devine said. "You have to give FGCU the respect they deserve, but we have to take advantage of the opportunities we have, and we didn't do that."
