Thursday, November 13, 2008

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2008) - The ETSU volleyball team is set to host Campbell Friday at 7 p.m. in its season finale in Brooks Gym.

The Bucs (10-19, 6-13 A-Sun) held on to defeat USC Upstate Tuesday night, 3-2. With a win over Campbell, ETSU would earn the fifth seed in the Atlantic Sun tournament next week. The Bucs are 4-1 all-time against the Camels, winning at Campbell on Oct. 11, 3-2.

The Camels (7-20, 5-13 A-Sun) come into the match having swept Stetson, 3-0, after dropping seven straight matches. Campbell is 4-12 this year in road contests.

Friday is also Military Appreciation Night as ETSU Athletics and the Army ROTC Battalion have teamed up to honor our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines - past and present. All veterans and active military will receive free admission with a valid military ID. The festivities start at 6 p.m. as there will be food, hands-on activities and displays as well as one-on-one opportunities with ETSU ROTC cadets.
