JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 11, 2008) - Earlier this week head coach Karen Kemp and the ETSU Lady Buccaneer basketball team learned that sophomore post Brittany Daniels (Shellman, Ga.) will be sidelined for the 2008-09 season after rupturing her Achilles tendon during conditioning drills.
"Losing Brittany for the entire season really affects our team since that is one position we are not really deep at," commented Kemp. "We were expecting Brittany to really step up this season and contribute. Hopefully everything goes well with her rehab, so we can have her back and healthy next season."
Daniels, who played in 28 of the 32 Lady Buccaneer contests as a freshman, averaged 2.8 points and 1.7 rebounds.
