JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (October 27, 2008) - ETSU women's soccer forward Jordan Monty (Mesquite, Texas) earned her first Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week honor of 2008 season, the conference announced Monday.

The junior helped the Bucs clinch a spot in its fourth A-Sun conference tournament, after firing in both game-winning goals against Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast, this past weekend. Against the Hatters the junior found the back of the net early in the first half, allowing ETSU to hold on to the 1-0 victory. Then on Senior Day Sunday, Monty scored the game-winner with less than three minutes off the clock in double overtime.

Currently, Monty ranks fourth in the conference in shots (54), third is shots per game (3.60), while leading the league in game-winning goals (4).  This marks the second time in her career that Monty has been named the league's Player of the Week.

ETSU returns to action with its last regular season contest this Friday as they travel to Liberty.
