JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 5, 2010) - The ETSU baseball team saw its six-game win steak snapped Friday afternoon at Cardinal Park as the Bucs dropped a 10-2 decision to 30th ranked St. John's in the first game of a three-game series.

The Red Storm exploded in the top of the first for four runs on five hits to take a 4-0 advantage.
Hopkins and Panik combined for two more runs in the top of the fourth on a RBI double down the left field line by Hopkins and a Panik RBI single to make the score 8-0 Red Storm.

In the bottom of the sixth, ETSU loaded the bases after Byrne walk, but St. John's reliever Matt Carasiti struck out Cory Betterson (Atlanta, Ga.) looking to end the inning and escape the Buccaneer threat.
The Red Storm put the game out of reach in the top of the eighth on a two-run double by first baseman Paul Karmas to make the final 10-2 STJ.
The Bucs are back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. as they face
