CULLOWHEE, N.C. (March 26, 2010) - Coming off its outdoor opener last weekend in Myrtle Beach, the ETSU track and field team makes a visit to a former Southern Conference destination when the Bucs compete in the Western Carolina Catamount Classic on Saturday.
The one-day meet will be a good test to see where ETSU ranks among a couple Atlantic Sun foes, as reigning indoor conference champion Kennesaw State and USC Upstate will be in attendance. Also, the Blue and Gold will go head-to-head with the host Catamounts and UNC Asheville, while squaring off with local schools such as Milligan, King, Mars Hill and Lee's McRae.
Competition begins with the men's hammer and women's javelin at 9:45 a.m., while women's 3,000m steeplechase begins the races on the track at noon.
