HANOVER, N.H. (Jan. 31, 2014) - Featuring a lineup consisting of seven newcomers, including six freshmen, the ETSU men's tennis team has faced ranked opponents in four of its first five matches. This weekend, the Bucs will take on two more nationally-ranked foes, as they travel to the northeast where to go toe-to-toe with a Dartmouth and Yale of the Ivy League.
LAST TIME OUT
The 68th-ranked Buccaneers (1-4) spent last weekend in Stillwater, Okla., where they suffered a pair of narrow setbacks to No. 51 Oklahoma State and No. 58 Arkansas, respectively.
Gaining valuable experience in the matches were four of ETSU's newcomers, including freshmen Ismael Merino (Lima, Peru) who has picked up wins in four of his first five collegiate singles matches.
DARTMOUTH - Friday, Jan. 31 at 6:00 p.m. - Hanover, N.H.
The Big Green (3-1) started the season with three straight wins, including a victory over No. 58 Arkansas, before falling to nationally-ranked Oklahoma State.
No. 64 Dartmouth features the nation's 38th-ranked doubles team of Cameron Ghorbani and Brendan Tannebaum.
YALE - Sunday, Feb. 2 at 10:00 a.m. - New Haven, Conn.
The Bulldogs (1-1) opened the season with a 5-2 road win against Davidson before falling to ACC opponent Virginia Tech, 7-0.
Sunday's match will be Yale's home opener.
