ETSU Announces Division I-A Football Opponents

Thursday, April 27, 2000

Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State University Athletic Department today announced the addition of Central Michigan and North Carolina State to future football schedules.

The Bucs will play North Carolina State on September 7, 2002 at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh. ETSU will play Central Michigan on September 13, 2003 in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

"We are excited to take on the challenge of competing against both North Carolina State and Central Michigan," said ETSU Athletic Director Frank Pergolizzi. "These two games complete the bulk of the East Tennessee State football schedule through the year 2003. Long range scheduling that included games versus I-A opponents is a key component of the long-term strategic plan for football approved last fall."
