Wisler To Compete in the Savane College All-America Golf Classic

November 17, 1999: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Junior Chris Wisler will compete in the 1999 Savane College All-America Golf Classic on November 2223 in El Paso, Texas.

The tournament, in its 25th year, will begin at 7:30 a.m. each morning. The event features 24 of the nation's top men's collegiate golfers. Joining Wisler will be 1998 U.S. Amateur Champion, David Gossett and 1997 U.S. Amateur Champion Matt Kuchar.

Wisler, the 1999 Southern Conference Champion, led the Buccaneer team in five events this fall. He registered a 72.21 average in 14 rounds. Wisler's best round was a 68 in the third round of the Carpet Capital Classic in Dalton, Ga. on Oct. 3. His top finish of the fall was at The Bank of Tennessee/The Ridges Intercollegiate Tournament in Johnson City, Tenn. on Sept. 11-12 where he finished tied for thirds.

ETSU will resume its team schedule at the Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico from Feb. 27-29, 2000.
