Volleyball Defeats Charleston ,3-0

Charleston, SC - East Tennessee State defeated the Cougars 3-0 (15-11, 15-12, 15-6) Sept. 30 in Southern Conference volleyball at the John Kresse Arena.

ETSU improves to 8-4 overall and 6-1 in SoCon action while the Cougars fall to 9-6 overall and 3-4 in the conference while.

For ETSU, Courtney Sussillo and Jena Policastro each tallied eight kills while Carey Cavanaugh led the Lady Bucs defense with 11 digs. As a team, ETSU recorded 11 service aces.

Aly VanCleave led the Cougar offense for the second straight match with 10 kills. Alison Gardner had a team-high 10 digs on the defensive side.

The Bucs will host UNC Charlotte on Oct 3.
