ETSU Roars Past UNC Asheville in Three Games

JOHNSON CITY, TN (Sept. 12) - Kate Steidle had 10 kills and six digs to lead East Tennessee State to a 3-0 win over UNC Asheville Sept. 12 at Justice Center.

The Lady Bucs (3-4) trailed in the first game 8-1 as the Bulldogs came out hot. However, ETSU rallied and came to win the first game 15-12. The Lady Bucs then finished off the Bulldogs 15-9, 15-3.

Carey Cavanaugh contributed 27 assists and 11 digs.

UNC Asheville (2-5) was led by freshman Kelly Budnick with nine kills and four digs. Heather Terrell finished with seven kills, while Leslie Whitfield contributed 12 digs.
