Baseball and Softball Games Cancelled

Tuesday, March 20, 2001

Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State University Athletic Department has cancelled today's baseball game with Radford due to the threat of snow and ice brought from an impending storm system. The softball games at South Carolina State University were also cancelled due to excessive rain from the same system. No makeup dates have been scheduled for either team.

The East Tennessee State baseball team will be in action this weekend as it hosts Southern Conference foe Wofford in a three-game set on March 24-25. The first pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m. while Sunday's game is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The East Tennessee State softball team will travel to Charleston, S.C. on Friday to take on non-conference foe Charleston Southern in a doubleheader slated for 2 p.m. The Bucs will then head to the College of Charleston on Saturday, March 24 for the first two games of its first Southern Conference away series.
