Sensabaugh Named SoCon Freshman Of The Week

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Freshman Gerald Sensabaugh (Kingsport, Tenn.) was named the Freshman Player of the Week in football by the Southern Confernece today for his play in East Tennessee State's upset, 19-16 win over No. 1 ranked Georgia Southern on Saturday. He is the first Buccaneer to earn Player of the Week accolades this season. Sensabaugh, a defensive back, made a key play late in the game when he intercepted a Georgia Southern pass that halted the final drive of the night for the Eagles, preserving the win for the Buccaneers. In addition to his interception, Sensabaugh was one of the top tacklers for the Bucs in the contest, recording eight stops. A true freshman, he has started four games at strong safety for ETSU, totaling 27 tackles so far this season.
