Women's Golf Finishes in Tenth in the Hatter Spring Fling

Daytona Beach, Fla. (March 17, 2002) - East Tennessee State's women's golf team finished tied for tenth with the University of Montana to finish the Hatter Spring Fling hosted by Stetson University. ETSU shot a 337 in today's final round after shooting a 307 in the first round. Florida Southern won the event after shooting a 298 and 301 in the two rounds. East Tennessee State senior Mimmie Dymling (Sollentuna, Sweden) led the team, finishing in a tie for 23rd in the tournament (76-81=157). Freshman Alysa Few (London, Ontario) tied for 28th in the event (75-83=158). Senior Catalina Zuluaga (Cali, Colombia) finished the day tied for 42nd (77-85=162). Freshman Danielle O'Reilly (Whistler, British Columbia) tied for 58th after two rounds of play (83-86=169). Sophomore Kristin Fletcher (Cookeville, Tenn.) withdrew from the event after shooting a 79 in the first round. The Buccaneer women's golf team travels to Harrisonburg, Va. to participate in the James Madison University LadyDukes Invitational on April 13th through the 14th.
