Johnson City, Tenn. -- The 2000-01 Southern Conference North Division Champion East Tennessee State men's basketball team was picked to finish third in the SoCon north division by both polls Monday at the preseason basketball rouser in Charleston, S.C.
The Bucs were picked to finish behind defending SoCon Tournament Champion UNC Greensboro and Davidson in the north in the coaches and media polls. Georgia Southern was picked to win the south division in both polls, edging out College of Charleston.
The Bucs open the 2001-02 campaign on Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at home against Guilford.
