Track and Field Signs Katharine Marshall to National Letter of Intent

Johnson City, Tenn. (May 21, 2002) -- East Tennessee State University track and field coach Dave Walker announced Tuesday that Katharine Marshall (Metuchen, N.J.) has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Buccaneers next season. Marshall was a two-sport athlete at Union Catholic Regional High School in Metuchen, N.J. In track and field, she was named all-county, all-conference, all-area, all-state, the team MVP and indoor runner of the year. In soccer, Marshall also excelled, being named all-county, all-conference, all-area and all-state. "Katharine will fit well with both our cross-country and track and field programs," said Walker. "She is a very intense student-athlete that excels on the track as well as in the classroom.
