Lady Bucs Picked to Finish Seventh In SoCon

Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State Lady Bucs were picked to finish seventh in both poll Monday from the Southern Conference basketball rouser from Charleston, S.C. The Lady Bucs were tied for seventh in the coaches poll with Wofford College and finished the media poll in sole possession of seventh. The Lady Mocs of Chattanooga were picked to repeat their conference championship in both polls. In other voting, ETSU senior guard Erin Thurman was voted among the best ball handlers and long-range shooters in the Southern Conference. The Lady Bucs open their 2001-02 season at James Madison University on Nov. 18 from Harrisonburg, Va.
