JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 16, 2003) - East Tennessee State University's women's golf team has begun practice for their upcoming spring season. The Buccaneers have many new faces in 2003, including head coach Stefanie Reynolds, who looks to better last season's fifth place Southern Conference Tournament finish. The Buccaneers return junior Kristen Fletcher (Cookeville, Tenn.), who boasted an 80.4 scoring average last season. Fletcher finished 14th at the SoCon Tournament shooting a team second best 235 (81-80-74). Three freshman and two sophomores also join this years youthful squad. ETSU will open up the season on Feb. 24-25, as they travel to Mercer University, for the Blade Sportswear Intercollegiate in Atlanta, Ga.
