12th Annual ETSU Fall Collegiate Championship Set for Friday

Johnson City, Tenn. (September 19, 2002) - East Tennessee State University is set to host its 12th annual ETSU Fall Collegiate Tennis Championships beginning Friday. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and run thru Sunday at the ETSU Tennis Center. Nine teams will be competing in this year's tournament, including seven men's squads and eight women's. "The tournament gives us a good chance to see our players early in the fall and gives our players a lot of matches to get back into competition after the summer break," said ETSU head men's coach Dave Mullins. The women's singles play will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and the men's singles will begin at 11:30 a.m. Women's doubles play will begin at 6 p.m. and the men's doubles will begin at 7 p.m. The tournament will conclude Sunday September 22nd.
