SPARTANBURG, S.C. (November 7, 2002) - The Southern Conference announced its women's soccer All-Conference teams today. The SoCon head coaches vote upon the squad and coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. East Tennessee State goalkeeper Heather Sanden was selected to the All-SoCon second team. The junior from Manassas, Va. was second in the conference in saves with 118 on the year, second in saves per game with an average of 6.94 and seventh in goals against average with 1.55 per game. Sanden started all 18 games for Buccaneer head coach Heather Henson this year and played a total of 1653:19 minutes. The Buccaneers season ended Thursday night losing to top ranked and top seeded Furman 3-0 in the 2002 SoCon tournament. Sanden had nine saves on the night ending the season with a total of 127 saves.
