Women's Soccer Drops Season Opener to Radford, 4-0

Radford, Va. (August 30, 2002) - The East Tennessee State women's soccer team dropped their season opener against Radford, 4-0. Radford senior Alison Vollick and sophomore Nikki Porter scored the first two goals of the half as the Highlander defense kept a young East Tennessee team scoreless. In the second half, Porter and senior Jevne Reid each scored a goal to put the game out of reach. ETSU junior Heather Sanden (Manassas, Va.), recorded seven saves for the Bucs. ETSU will return to action September 2 against UNC-Asheville at 7:00. The game will be played at the Liberty Bell soccer complex.
