JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 4, 2003) - After blocking three punts leading to 15 of ETSU's 22 points Saturday against Georgia Southern, East Tennessee State junior safety Gerald Sensabaugh (Kingsport, Tenn.) was named as a weekly All-Star by website I-AA.org. The 6-2, 210 pound Sensabaugh blocked a punt early in the second quarter leading to a field goal by kicker Jonathan Godfrey (Johnson City, Tenn.). Then in the fourth quarter, with the Bucs trailing 34-10, Sensabaugh started an ETSU rally on his own, blocking consecutive Georgia Southern punts, the first being returned by James Rainer (Alcoa, Tenn.) for a touchdown and the second leading to a 36-yard touchdown pass from Michael George (Alcoa, Tenn.) to Frank Green (Moncks Corner, S.C.). The three blocks give him four for the season, as he also had one against Concord on Sept. 4. Three other players earned All-Star honors from the website, Albany running back Gary Jones, Fordham running back Kirwin Watson and Montana defensive end Tim Bush. Sensabaugh is the second Buccaneer to be named as an I-AA.org All-Star, as senior cornerback Tony Tiller (Lithonia, Ga.) earned the honor on Oct. 20. Sensabaugh is fourth on the Bucs with 56 tackles on the season, and has added two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and is tied for the team lead with five pass breakups. The Bucs return to action on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in a Southern Conference game against No. 5 Wofford from Spartanburg, S.C.
