Johnson City's Paduch paces ETSU men's golf at Seminole Intercollegiate
Monday, March 01, 2004 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 1, 2004) - Johnson City native and former University High standout Andrew Paduch tied for 17th after shooting a 2-over-part 74, helping the ETSU men's golf team to a 10th-place finish after the first round of the Seminole Intercollegiate Monday at the Golden Eagle Country Club. Along with Paduch's effort, true freshman Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) is currently tied for 24th at 3-over. On the team leaderboard, Vanderbilt leads second-place Georgia State by one stroke at 6-over (288), with the Bucs eight strokes off the pace. Meanwhile, the Commodores' Luke List and Maryland's John Eades are tied atop the individual standings at 4-under 68. Along with Paduch and Davies, ETSU sophomore Noel Kavanagh (Westport, Ireland) finished tied for 32nd with a round of 76, while junior Cennydd Mills (Cardiff, Wales) finished tied for 37th with a 77. True freshman Steven Arnold struggled on the first day, posting an 87 and finishing 59th.
