Lady Bucs sign Colombian standout Natalia Giraldo

Monday, November 17, 2003

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (November 17, 2003) - East Tennessee State University women's golf coach Stefanie Reynolds announced Monday that Cali, Columbia native Natalia Giraldo has signed a national letter of intent to play golf at ETSU. Giraldo is currently ranked 9th among amateur golfers in Columbia, regularly shooting 18-hole scores in the middle and low-70s. As a student, she is ranked in the top 10 percent of her class and plans to major in business administration at ETSU. Reynolds said Giraldo is yet another quality player to be added to an increasingly strong Lady Buc roster. "Natalia has grown up in a golfing family," Reynolds said. "Her uncle is a professional golfer and he has guided her career so far. She has tremendous national and international experience, playing against many golfers who are already on the professional level. I'm excited about having Natalia join our program, because I think she is the type of player who could help take us to the next level."
