Wednesday, March 31, 2004

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Mar. 31, 2004) - The East Tennessee State men's tennis team broke into the ITA Rankings this week in the No. 65 slot. The Buccaneers claimed the position after defeating last week's No. 56 team, Old Dominion, 4-2 on Friday. Currently, the team's record stands at 9-5 overall and 2-0 in the SoCon. "It's a great accomplishment and a sign of our team's hard work throughout the season," said head coach Yaser Zaatini. "Now we have to continue to be focused and motivated to accomplish our main goal of winning conference." ETSU hopes to continue its success on the court as host two matches against the College of Charleston and The Citadel on April 2-4.
