JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 20, 2003) - East Tennessee State University's women's tennis head coach Steve Brooks has released the women's tennis schedule for the 2003-04 season. "I am looking forward to my third season here at ETSU," stated Brooks. "Our team is continually getting stronger. This year we will have four seniors along with some talented underclassmen. This schedule should challenge us and get us ready for the tough Southern Conference." The Lady Bucs will host 11 matches throughout the year including the ETSU tournament, which will open the season on Sept. 21 at the ETSU Tennis Center. The women's tennis team will then travel to Blacksburg, Va., to compete in the Virginia Tech Tournament. "In the fall we will see players from over 10 nationally ranked teams. In the spring we play head-to-head against eight ranked teams, with two of them being ranked in the top 10," said Brooks. "It is a challenge our girls are ready to take and it will make for an exciting season not only for the team, but also for the fans, who come out to support our players."
