WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Jan. 28, 2005) - The East Tennessee State University men's tennis team fell to No. 43 Wake Forest 7-0 in their fourth match of the season. The Bucs are now 2-2 on the year, while the Deacons are 1-0 with the win.

Action began on the courts with Wake Forest claiming the doubles point with victories at all three positions. ETSU sophomores Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) and Felix Insaurralde (Asunción, Paraguay), playing in the number one slot for doubles, fell to Wake Forest's Derrick Spice and Brett Ross 8-2. Senior Fernando Fiuri (Villa Maria, Argentina) and freshman Lisandro Picardo (Mar del Plata, Argentina) dropped their match against Todd Paul and Marius Adamski at the No. 2 slot 8-5. At No. 3, Moisés Serrano (Bucaramanga, Colombia) and Sebastian Serrano (Bucaramanga, Colombia) fell to Liron Strauss and Andrew Hamar, 8-6.

Singles action would not sway in favor of the Buccaneers, as the Deacons would walk away with all six points in straight sets and ending the match at 7-0.

The Bucs now prepare to play their next match against No. 25 Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn. on Feb. 1 at 3:00 p.m.
