Winston-Salem, N.C. (Oct. 23, 2004) - The East Tennessee State women's tennis team completed day three of the Wilson-ITA Southeast Regional Indoors today in Winston-Salem, N.C.

In doubles action, Sylwia Ziolkowska (Warsaw, Poland) and Mariia Ilina (Kyiv, Ukraine) won their second match against Winthrop's Larisa Bekmatova and Danielle Moita 8-2 on Saturday morning. The were then knocked out of the tournament in the round of 16 by Duke's Kristin L. Cargill and Jenny Zika, in a 8-4 battle.

"We had Duke on the run. We had our shots but just didn't get it in," said Head Coach Steve Brooks. "Overall, this tournament is a good improvement and is good motivation for our team going into next weekend and into the spring."

The Bucs finish fall tournament action next weekend when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to partake in the USC Tournament beginning on Friday, October 29.
