(June 24, 2005) - East Tennessee State catcher Caleb Moore (Knoxville, Tenn.) recently earned second-team All-America honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Moore was drafted in the fourth round by the Minnesota Twins on June 7, and is currently playing in Elizabethton of the Appalachian League.

            Moore earned All-America honors for the second-straight season in 2005 after hitting .382 and leading the Bucs with 15 home runs and 73 RBIs. He led the Southern Conference in home runs while also leading the conference and ranking sixth in the nation in RBIs per game (1.4). Caleb also led the SoCon and was 20th in the country with a .705 slugging percentage. Prior to this season, he was named a Louisville Slugger Preseason First-Team All-American and recently earned Second-Team All-America honors from USA Today's Sports Weekly.

            Caleb also starred as the Buccaneer closer this season, going 6-3 with a 4.14 ERA and 11 saves in 26 appearances. He allowed 40 hits in 41.1 innings and struck out 37 while walking just 12.
