GREENSBORO, N.C. (Nov. 4, 2004) - The Southern Conference announced its 2004 Women's Soccer All-Conference teams last night at the Southern Conference Tournament Banquet in Greensboro, N.C. The Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year were also announced. All honorees were voted on by the league's coaches. Nine schools were represented on the two 11-player squads.

ETSU was represented for the second year by junior Erin Ashton (New Bern, N.C.), who was also named to the All-Southern Conference second team in 2003. During the 2004 season, Ashton played in 14 games and started 13 of those games, missing three of ETSU's games due to injury. Once again she was instrumental in the Bucs offense recording two goals in the season, one of which was the game winner in the 3-0 win against Winthrop. She also led the team in assists (4), points (8), and shots (32). In conference action she placed seventh in shots per game averaging 2.75 shots in each conference game.
