ETSU men's golf now No. 10 in GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll

Tuesday, April 04, 2006

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 4, 2006) - As the ETSU men's golf team prepares for one of its toughest tournaments of the season at the United States Collegiate Championship next week, the Buccaneers have moved to No. 10 in the Golf Coaches Association of American/Bridgestone Coaches Poll. Meanwhile, in the other three major college rankings - the Golfweek/Sagarin ranking, the Golfstat ranking, and Golf World poll - the Bucs remain in the Top 12.

Despite a recent 10th-place showing at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational, the Bucs have still posted Top 5 finishes in four of their last five tournaments this spring - including a win at the General Hackler Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C., which was the first regular season tournament victory by the squad since 2001.

The Bucs will return to action on Monday, April 10 at the U.S. Collegiate Championship hosted by Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.
