Bucs unable to make up much ground, finish 10th at Augusta State event
Davies Sunday, April 02, 2006 AUGUSTA, Ga. (April 2, 2006) - The No. 9-ranked ETSU men's golf team improved three strokes over its previous two rounds at the Administaff ASU Invitational, but it was only enough to move up one spot on the team leaderboard for a 10th-place finish Sunday at the Champions Retreat Golf Club. ETSU finished with a team score of 882 (295-295-292). The team championship went to Coastal Carolina (854) by five strokes over nearby USC-Aiken. However, Scott Brown did bring home some hardware for the Aiken squad, capturing the individual championship by one stroke over Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina. Brown fired a final round of 4-under 68 to hold off Johnson's 69. As for the Bucs, junior Rhys Davies (Bridgend, The Bucs will not take much time off before their next event. The team will be in |
