ETSU men's tennis sweeps UC-Riverside, 7-0
Thursday, February 23, 2006 San Diego, Action began with the Buccaneers claiming the doubles point with wins in all three positions. At the No. 1 doubles position, junior Oscar Posada ( ETSU again dominated in singles action, sweeping all six of the matches in straight sets. In No. 1 singles, Oscar Posada defeated Norman Tam, 6-2, 6-1, while Felix Insaurralde defeated Mark Contreras, 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 2 position. In the No. 3 slot, Enrique Olivares defeated Justin Montgomery, 6-1, 6-2. Freshman Juan Crosa defeated Joe Cartledge, 7-5, 6-4, in the No. 4 position. In the No. 5 position Lisandro Picardo defeated Bobby Tam, 6-0, 6-1, while in the No. 6 position Sebastian Serrano defeated Chris Frick, 6-2, 6-3.
"The guys played extremely well today," said coach Yaser Zaatini, "much better than the day before, I'm real happy."
The Buccaneers next match is scheduled for today, Feb. 23, against the
