Posada earns main draw in tennis championships

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 22, 2005) - East Tennessee State's Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) has earned a spot in the 2005 ITA All-America Championships main draw, getting a pass on any pre-qualifying or qualifying brackets.  Posada and head men's tennis coach Yaser Zaatini will head to Tulsa, Okla., for the main draw of the ITA's national championships on October 6-9.  

 

Last season, Posada earned Conference player of the year honors and was also conference player of the week and month on several occasions.  Posada was 25-8 during 2005 in singles action and was 10-0 in the conference.  He is a business management major at ETSU.
