ETSU, Tennessee renew baseball rivalry tonight in Knoxville

(March 29, 2006) - ETSU and the Tennessee Volunteers will lock-up for the 61st time in school history Wednesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Volunteers enter the contest with a 17-17 record for 2006, and will send junior right-hander Deunte Heath to the mound. Heath is 2-1 with a 4.35 ERA on the season, and is making his sixth start this year. The Bucs (16-10) will counter with senior Jeremy Hall (
Fans can catch the game via internet broadcast and on the radio at 910 AM with the "Voice of the Bucs" Jay Sandos calling all the action. The broadcast will begin with the Tony Skole Dugout Show at followed by the first pitch.
This will be the 61st all-time meeting between the two schools in the series that dates back to 1967. The Volunteers lead the series 53-7, and have won 12 straight dating back to 1999.
