ETSU to host second annual Little Caesar's Tennessee State Open Junior tennis championships

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 5, 2006) - The Little Caesar's Tennessee State Open Junior Tennis Tournament, which acts as a major fundraiser for the ETSU men's tennis program, will host its second annual tournament from July 7 to July 11. There will be an opening night press conference Thursday, July 6 from 7-9 p.m. at the Carnegie Hotel.

 

The tournament, which started as a local event but grew to become the Tennessee State Open, has been a mainstay for the local tennis community for the last 17 years. Last year's tournament had 260 players in the junior event which attracted players from all over the south.

 

The 17th annual Little Caesar's adult tournament will begin play on Thursday, July 13, and will run through Monday, July 16.

 

Entry forms can be accessed at www.littlecaesarstennis.com and can be mailed through Friday, July 7. Inquiries can be made to the ETSU men's tennis office at (423) 439-5262.
