EVANS, Ga. (April 1, 2007) - The 13th-ranked ETSU men's golf team waited until the final day of the Administaff ASU Invitational to showcase its best play by firing a 10-under 278, en route to a sixth place finish at the Champions Retreat Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.

The 10-under-par helped propel the Bucs from eighth to sixth as they finished the weekend even par with a final score of 864. ETSU's round of 278 on Sunday marked the lowest score of any team during the three-day tournament. The 11th-ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers jumped ahead of 17th-ranked North Carolina to win the tournament by one stroke, finishing with an 11-under 853.

ETSU was led by junior Gareth Shaw (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) as he finished tied for 12th, after posting rounds of 77-69-69. However, it was sophomore Jordan Findlay (Fraserburgh, Scotland) who provided his best golf performance of the season. Findlay matched his lowest round of his collegiate career on Sunday, posting a 4-under-68 and was one of six golfers that ended in a tie for 24th, marking his best finish of the season. Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) was also apart of the six-person group that posted an even-par 216 for the weekend. Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales), the nation's No. 1 golfer, fired a 2-under-70 on Sunday; however, he finished tied for 41st overall.

Coastal Carolina made it a clean sweep, as 15th-ranked Dustin Johnson claimed the individual title, posting a 12-under 204 for the tournament.

The Bucs will return to action on Monday, April 9, when they compete at the U.S. Collegiate Championship, in Alpharetta, Ga.
