            ROCKY FACE, Ga. (Sept. 16, 2006) - Senior Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) fired a 2-under-par 70 and sophomore Gareth Shaw (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) continued his steady play with a 1-under 71, as the ETSU men's golf team finished 11^th on the team leaderboard following second round play Saturday in the Carpet Capital Collegiate.

            Shaw is currently tied for 10^th on the individual leaderboard at 3-under for the tournament, while Darren Blair of North Carolina State continues to lead after posting his second straight sub-70 round to stand at 10-under for the event. Clemson leads the team standings at 18-under, holding a three-stroke advantage over first-round leader Alabama. The Bucs are 3-over for the tournament.

            Davies, the nation's No. 4-ranked player and the Carpet Capital Collegiate's defending champion, is currently tied for 37^th at 1-over. Meanwhile, sophomore Jordan Findlay (Fraserburgh, Scotland) and freshman Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) are tied for 60^th.
