MACON, Ga. (October 29, 2006) - Helping ETSU to its first Atlantic Sun regular season title, Jennifer Sartor was named A-Sun Player of the Week by the conference office Monday. Sartor averaged 5.57 kills and 3.29 digs in seven games last week.

Sartor accumulated 39 kills in two matches last week, leading the Lady Bucs to a perfect conference season, their first-ever conference title and 13th consecutive win. The senior opened the week with a career high 24 kills in just four games against Stetson Friday night, and then led the team with 15 kills in ETSU's conference clinching sweep of Mercer Sunday afternoon.

In addition to her kill totals, the Toronto, Ontario native also amassed double-digit digs in both matches, notching her fourth double-double in as many matches, as well as her sixth in her last seven outings.

Sartor also led the Lady Bucs with eight total blocks in the two matches. On the season, the sport management science major leads the Atlantic Sun with four kills per game, and ranks seventh with a .304 hitting percentage.

The Lady Bucs will assume the top seed going into the 2006 A-Sun Volleyball Tournament hosted by Belmont Nov. 17-18.

The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.
