JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2007) - After a rough loss Thursday night at Jacksonville, the ETSU women's basketball team looks to get back on the winning side as they play North Florida on Saturday afternoon. Tip is set for 2 p.m. inside UNF Arena.

ETSU (14-10, 10-4 A-Sun) shot a season-beat 66.7 percent (30-45) and got a game-high 26 points from freshman Siarre Evans (Griffin, Ga.), but that was still not strong enough as they turned the ball over 27 times leading to 34 points for Jacksonville. Three other Lady Bucs reached double figures as Brooke Wilhoit (Sevierville, Tenn.), Kelly Turman (Atlanta) and Devin Thompson (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) all finished with 12.

North Florida has lost four straight and nine of its last 12 games. The Ospreys lost a tough one on Thursday night as they fell 58-56 to Kennesaw State. The Lady Owls Gia Lockett hit the game-winning jumper with three seconds remaining to propel them over the Ospreys. Shandrea Moore led the way for the Ospreys with 12 points and eight rebounds. North Florida is led by Jennifer Bowen who is averaging 10.5 ppg along with 4.4 rpg.

The Lady Bucs lead the all-time series, 3-0 over the Ospreys, as ETSU defeated North Florida, 87-48, back on Jan. 18. The 39-point win over UNF was the third largest win in head coach Karen Kemp's 13-year tenure, and the biggest since knocking off Georgia Southern 103-65 (38 points) on Jan. 10, 2000. The Lady Bucs were led by a 21-point, 12 rebound effort from Evans in the victory, while Michele DeVault (Columbus, Ohio) added 18.
