Shaw ended the year ranked 12th in Golfweek's national ratings and was one of 10 Division I golfers to be named to the second team. Joining Shaw on the list was Webb Simpson from Wake Forest, Russell Henley, Adam Mitchell, and Hudson Swafford from Georgia, Florida's Bill Horschel, Troy Merritt from Boise State, UAB's Zack Sucher, Stanford's Rob Grube and Ryan Spears from Wichita State.
