KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (Feb. 26, 2008) - Steady rains forced the cancellation of Tuesday's third and final round of the Cuthbert Cup hosted by College of Charleston at the Cougar Point Golf Course.

The ETSU women's golf team will return home with a fourth place finish in the event, opening their spring schedule with a strong showing. Individually, sophomore Sinead O'Sullivan (Galway, Ireland) finished tied for third, leading the way for the Bucs.

"We had two really strong days as a team, and it's a good way to start the season," said ETSU head coach Stefanie Reynolds, whose team has posted five finishes of sixth or better in six events this year. "Hopefully, we can build off that and have players continue to go low for us."

The team will return to action March 3-4 at the 2008 USA Lady Jaguar Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State in Mobile, Ala. For updates from that event and for more information on ETSU women's golf, visit ETSUBucs.com.
