ETSU softball finishes strong at Blue/Gold Fall Tournament

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2007) -The ETSU softball team came back to win against Roane State Community College, 11-1, and Hiwassee, 11-0, after falling to Carson Newman College in hard fought game, 8-6.
In the first game the Bucs found themselves down early 5-1 in the fourth inning, but the Bucs would answer with a run in the bottom of the fourth and four runs in the fifth to take the lead 6-5. The Bucs would hold the lead until the seventh inning only needing three outs for the win, but Carson Newman would rally for three runs to win the game 8-6.

In the final game of the day the Bucs jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, and would not look back as they would add five more runs in the seventh to beat

Knight and Jett were on fire as Knight was 6-10 with four RBI, two triples, two doubles and scored three runs. Jett was 8-12 with three RBI and scored five runs.
The Bucs are back in action again next weekend in the Blue and Gold game at
